মানিকগঞ্জের দৌলতপুর উপজেলার বিভিন্ন এলাকার নিরীহ মানুষদের মিথ্যা মামলায় ফাঁসিয়ে হয়রানির প্রতিবাদে এ্যাডঃ আলমগীরের বিরুদ্ধে মানববন্ধন অনুষ্টিত হয়।
গতকাল বুধবার (০৪ নভেম্বর) দুপুর ৩ টার দিকে দৌলতপুর উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্বরে দৌলতপুর এলাকাবাসীর আয়োজনে উক্ত প্রতিবাদ সভা ও মানববন্ধন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
মানববন্ধনে ভুক্তভোগীদের অভিযোগ এ্যাডঃ আলমগীর হোসেন এলাকার নিরীহ মানুষদের মিথ্যা মামলায় ফাঁসিয়ে হয়রানীসহ তার লালিত বাহিনী দিয়ে মানুষের উপর হামলা ও নির্যাতন চালায়। সম্প্রতি মো. হায়দার আলীর উপর জমি সংক্রান্ত বিরোধের জের ধরে তার লাঠিয়াল বাহিনী হায়দার আলীর উপর হামলা চালায়। এ ঘটনায় হায়দার আলী মারাত্মক আহত হয়। এ ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে এ্যাডঃ আলমগীরের বোন জাকিয়া সুলতানা হায়দার আলীসহ বেশ কয়েকজনের বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা মামলা দায়ের করে।
আয়োজিত মানববন্ধনে এসময় বক্তব্য রাখেন, দৌলতপুর উপজেলা আওয়ামীলীগের প্রচার সম্পাদক ও সাবেক চকমিরপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান মো. মহিদুর রহমান মুক্তা, মিথ্যা মামলায় নির্যাতনের শিকার মো. হায়দার আলী, ভুক্তভোগী সুমন মিয়া ও জুমুরি বেগম প্রমুখ।
বক্তারা এসময় সকল মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহার সহ মামলা বাজ এ্যাডভোকেট আলমগীর হোসেনের বিরুদ্ধে তদন্তপূর্বক আইনগত ব্যবস্থা নেয়ার জোর দাবি জানান।
